Supports and completes bi-weekly and year-end payroll processes in an accurate and timely manner; assists Human Resources and timekeepers/managers in responding to payroll and benefit inquiries of employees and supervisors; researches and resolves problem situations; prepares audit work papers, reviews and reconciles Kronos/ADP, and other general accounting duties as assigned
Professional Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required.
Associate's degree (A.
A) in Business, Accounting, or related field preferred.
2-3 years of payroll experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) preferred.
Knowledge of IRS, DOL, FLSA, Publication 15 requirements related to payroll, and multi-state payroll tax laws.
Experience with Kronos payroll system and payroll processing that includes exposure to benefits and 403(b) preferred.
Proficient using the Microsoft Office Suite of software to include Outlook, Word, and Excel(vlookups and pivot tables).
Proficient report writing capabilities
