The successful applicant will be experienced in diagnostics and repair of cars, trucks, and buses with a GVWR of up to 8900 kgs.
We rely heavily on our technicians to be punctual with good attendance and have a commitment to providing superior customer service to our expanding client base.
Experience maintaining small engines and mechanical service equipment is also considered an asset.
Job Responsibilities
Efficiently diagnose and repair customer concerns
Perform multi-point inspections to advise of repairs ensuring vehicle safety and reliability
Chassis diagnosis and repair
Electrical diagnosis and repair
Responsibly road test pre and post vehicle repair
Perform wheel alignments
Light duty and PMVI safeties up to 8900 kgs.
Tire repairs and change overs
Perform repairs on shop equipment and service truck
Provide leadership to apprentices
Be safety conscious at all times
Maintain a clean and organized work environment on a daily basis
Other duties as assigned by the service manager
Qualifications
Requirements
Valid driver’s license
At least 1 year of automotive technician/mechanic experience
Safety certificate up to 8900 kgs.
(will provide assistance in obtaining)
Excellent problem-solving skills
Respect for company and client equipment
Own safety work boots and tools necessary for the trade
A good attitude to add to our positive and friendly work environment
Good communication skills, written and verbal
