Responsible for performing a variety of clerical and receptionist duties with a focus in IRA accounts and title maintenance.
Greets and answers members’ questions regarding Credit Union products and services, conducting account maintenance as requested.
Promptly and professionally directs members to department personnel based on member’s needs.
Performs teller functions efficiently and accurately as requested.
Receives and screens telephone calls and provides administrative support to branch personnel.
Performs miscellaneous support functions as assigned.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES
1.
Assumes responsibility for the effective performance of assigned receptionist and clerical functions.
a.
Represents the Credit Union in a courteous and professional manner.
b.
Receives and directs members and telephone calls.
Responds to account level inquiries and questions if possible or directs them as necessary.
Records and relays messages.
c.
Provides member service support such as copying, faxing, or printing reports.
d.
Receives, opens, and distributes mail daily.
e.
Scans and maintains information for member account files.
f.
Scans and maintains information for company including, but not limited to, daily, monthly, and quarterly documents and reporting.
g.
Assists with opening and maintaining IRA accounts.
Answers employee and member questions.
Acts as liaison with members, employees, and IRA vendor to ensure compliance and proper record keeping.
h.
Assists with maintenance of all title duties.
Answers employee and member questions.
Acts as liaison with members, dealers, and State services in order to assist perfection of liens.
2.
Assumes responsibility for the efficient, effective, and accurate performance of teller functions.
a.
Receives share deposits and loan payments.
b.
Processes cash advances, cashiers' checks, money orders, and creates debit cards as needed.
c.
Disburses cash or check share withdrawals.
d.
Processes transfers.
e.
Verifies transactions.
Monitors deposit amounts and examines documents for endorsement and negotiability.
Detects and resolves discrepancies promptly.
f.
Balances daily transactions and verifies cash totals.
Investigates and resolves out-of-balance conditions.
3.
Assumes responsibility for establishing and maintaining effective business relations with members, vendors, and trade professionals.
a.
Assists with questions and problems courteously and promptly.
b.
Assists in completing periodic tracking and reporting required for department.
c.
Maintains the Credit Union's quality and professional reputation.
4.
Assumes responsibility for establishing and maintaining effective working relations with Credit Union personnel and management.
a.
Assists and supports department personnel as required.
b.
Coordinates activities with related departments and obtains or conveys information as needed.
c.
Keeps supervisor informed of area activities and of any significant problems.
d.
Attends and participates in meetings as required.
5.
Assumes responsibility for related duties as required or assigned.
a.
Proactively stays informed regarding policy and procedure changes.
b.
Replaces Tellers as needed.
c.
Completes special projects as assigned.
d.
Ensures that work areas is clean, secure, and well maintained.
PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENTS
1.
Account processing and assigned clerical functions are completed in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Typing is neat, accurate, and promptly completed.
2.
Teller functions are efficiently, effectively, and accurately performed in accordance with established policies, standards, and security procedures.
3.
Reports and records are maintained accurately and promptly.
4.
Good business relations exist with members.
Members' problems or questions are courteously and promptly resolved.
5.
Good working relationships and coordination exist with area personnel and management.
Assistance is provided to other Service Representatives and staff as needed.
Supervisors are appropriately informed of area activities.
