900000 Shift: Days Location: HOOVER Summary: Principal Trainers are responsible for mastering both an Epic application and Riverside Medical Center specific workflows.
They lead the development and implementation of the training program for their respective application(s).
Principal Trainers are integral members of the application workgroup and participate in workflow design and system build in order to gain in-depth knowledge of the system functionality and rational for the workflow design.
Experience/Education Requirements: Ability to develop training materials including e-learned modules Ability to coordinate training logistics (courses, classrooms, registration, timeframes, etc.
) in collaboration with other members of the project team and department managers Training end-users on Epic system and RMC workflow processes within system parameters Maintaining system documentation Familiarity with RMC workflows, processes, policies and procedures Proven experience working as a user in a clinical/operational computer software application Education in field of expertise desired If RN, must have completed nursing program from an approved school of nursing.
License or Certification Requirements: Obtaining and maintaining EPIC certification throughout implementation project required Responsibilities: Coordinating training logistics (courses, classrooms, registrations, timeframes, etc.
) in collaboration with the other members of the project team, and department managers.
Coordinating training of end-users for new releases.
Designing and developing role-based training programs to support the workflows to be implemented.
Developing and maintaining the training environment in a manner consistent with the overall training strategy and approach.
Developing e-Learning modules as necessary to support the overall training strategy.
Maintaining system documentation.
Obtaining and maintaining Epic certification in assigned application module.
Preparing the Epic Training system for hands-on training, developing training scenarios and training patients, etc.
Preparing training materials used during training sessions.
Providing demonstrations of system functionality as necessary.
Training and supervising Supplemental Trainers.
Training end-users on proper use of the application.
Training newly-hired employees as part of their orientation.
