Description
You will have the opportunity to inspire, motivate, and empower adult learners to successfully become conversant in Spanish.
KCC seeks an innovative and collaborative instructor who has passion and experience to teach Spanish.
Provides quality instruction for the assigned Conversational Spanish courses and customized contract workshops.
Examples of Duties
A.
Demonstrates an excellence in teaching Spanish by providing instruction while using effective teaching methods.
B.
Establishes clear goals and objectives for all lessons/units to ensure adult learners' success.
C.
Prepares instructional program objectives, outlines, and lesson plans from provided curriculum.
Strong instructional and communication skills to deliver course content.
D.
Adapts teaching methods and instructional materials to meet the adult learner’s vary needs and interest.
E.
Monitors adult learners' performance and make suggestions for improvement.
F.
Ensures that the adult learner is satisfied with course standards and objectives.
Minimum Qualifications
A.
Associates degree or higher in Education, subject matter, or closely related field required.
B.
Experience in instructional/classroom technology.
C.
Experience with traditional and non-traditional adult students from diverse backgrounds.
D.
English and Spanish verbal and written communication proficiency.
E.
Demonstrated multicultural competence.
F.
Willingness to provide instructions at other campus sites and local businesses is required.
Supplemental Information
Pay rate is per hour of classroom instruction, and the rate is determined on the subject matter.
Part time: 16 or more classroom instructional per semester.
