) QUALIFICATIONS: Professional Educator's License with Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) endorsement and Wilson Certification GENERAL DESCRIPTION: The Special Education Teacher provides direct services to students with disabilities from ages 3-21 per the student’s individual education plan providing extended school year services.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES: 1.
Provides direct instruction to students’ per their IEP goals.
2.
Submit records, reports and assignments promptly and efficiently.
3.
Work cooperatively with staff to accomplish students’ IEP goals and benchmarks.
4.
Manage a caseload of students with disabilities.
5.
Provide individualized instruction to students with disabilities.
6.
Maintain appropriate data on students to document current levels of performance and other pertinent information per identified goals.
7.
Monitor student progress and submits end of Extended School Year report.
8.
Consult with parents, teachers, and other appropriate staff regarding the student’s performance in the classroom or at home.
9.
Participate in activities that promote professional development.
10.
Support and implement District policies and procedures, regulations, and administrative directives.
11.
Adhere to the ethical standards and codes of the profession and to the established rules, regulations, and laws governing special education.
REPORTS TO: Extended School Year Site Coordinator COMPENSATION: $50.
