Lead Preschool Teacher for 2024-2025 school year

*Job description* *God's Gifts Preschool *(GGPS) is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Lead Preschool teacher that has a passion for Early Childhood Education to join our Preschool for the Fall of 2024.
If you love working with children in a nurturing environment, we are the school for you! This is a _*part time position*_, GREAT for early childhood college students or former/retired teachers.
We follow district 308 schedule and run 9 months out of the year.
*Essential Duties & Responsibilities:* * Planning and writing engaging and age appropriate lesson plans.
* Maintain communication with parents through Newsletters * Conducting assessments/ Yearly Parent Teacher conferences * Provide a safe, nurturing and positive experience for all participants.
* Create positive relationships with participants and families.
* Lead and monitor classroom activities, anticipating potential problem situations and redirect as needed.
* Maintain DCFS standards * Attend staff meetings, in-service trainings, as required.
*QUALIFICATIONS* *Lead Teacher needs to have:* * Applicants applying for the teacher position must be Lead Teacher Qualified according to DCFS guidelines: * 60 semester hours (90 quarter hours) of college credits with 6 semester (9 quarter hours) in Early Childhood education or: * One year of Early Childhood experience and 30 semester (45 quarter) hours of college credits with 6 semester hours (9 quarter) hours in Early Childhood Education.
* Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field (preferred) * Preschool teaching experience * Strong organizational skills * Effective and efficient time management * CPR and First Aid certification (preferred *Employee Benefits* * Flexible work schedule * Autonomy to be creative in your classroom * Classroom supply budget * Paid prep time Job Type: Part-time Pay: From $17.
