*Responsibilities*
* Stack and unstack intermodal containers and chassis following the established yard plan.
* Use heavy equipment to safely unload and strategically move intermodal containers within the yard.
* Transfer containers and chassis from and to various locations in the yard by use of yard trucks.
* Record every container handling within the operational system, keeping the operational system updated.
* Perform a safety checklist before and after operating any heavy equipment to ensure that any defects are reported immediately.
* Work with the gate staff in handling drivers dropping off and picking up equipment.
* Support the machine repair shop for the repair of chassis and containers.
* Couple and disengage generating units into refrigerated containers.
* Maintain continuous operation, acting preventively and reporting any obstacles that may impair performance.
* Equipment driving with focus on maintenance and repairs prevention.
* Maintains a positive relationship while working closely with the staff to build a strong team through coaching, goal setting, and constructive feedback.
*Qualifications*
* You must be willing to work outdoors and in all weather conditions
* High School Diploma or equivalent
* 1-3 years of experience cargo handling equipment
* 1-3 years of container handling equipment operator
* All candidates must possess a valid state driver’s license - CDL preferred
* Experienced Forklift / Side Loader Operator
* Experienced Hostler Operator
* Valid Large Forklift Operator Certification
* Good Communication
* Team player attitude
