JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide technical sales support to inside sales, regional managers, distributor sales personnel and external customers in the sales, bidding, and order entry process
Identify current and future customer requirements and accurately convey the requirements to the respective sales or product management groups
Utilize the internal RFQ process to ensure the request workflow is completed and communicated to appropriate sales team members
Perform detailed reviews of chassis specifications for customer supplied chassis with relation to product configurations and option content
Review bid specification requirements as presented by field sales representatives, relevant to documented timelines and schedules within the bid documents
Provide pricing of special options or content to external sales team members
Process incoming purchase orders to support Dealer, Direct, and International new business targets
Utilize Configurator tool to process quotations and generate order acknowledgments
Maintain accurate documentation to supply final invoicing information to accounting
Associate required chassis configurations to related product configurations and models
Process order revisions to existing orders per change request documentation
Respond to all solicitations and inquiries as distributed by Inside Sales Manager and Director of Dealer/Direct Channels
Review and work with Sales Engineers and RSMs to determine machine configuration and pricing
Communicate scheduling changes to Inside Sales Manager to accommodate change requests and meet delivery expectations
Work with Product Data Specialist to communicate improvements and issues to enhance Configurator tool and work flows
Maintain accurate sales order data within Smartsheet to support new business reporting, order revision control, and historical sales data.
Provide historical order information to RSM groups for new quote generation, analysis, and pricing.
Work with Work with Direct/Vacuum Excavation RSMs to coordinate rental agreements, terms, and approvals required to secure customer rental units
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
· 3-5 years’ experience in customer support role
· Good interpersonal skills
· Good computer skills
· Good written and oral communication skills
· Strong attention to detail
· Technical background a plus
EDUCATION REQUIRED: Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience.
