Covia is looking for a dynamic Production Supervisor who will have a positive impact on the Operations team at its Wedron Silica location.
The Production Supervisor, with limited supervision, will oversee and direct hourly employee work performance to accomplish daily production and shipping requirements consistent with quality control and safety/health policies and procedures.
Reports directly to the Operations Manager.
The successful incumbent will have the following Key Accountabilities:
Ensure Safety is the top priority.
All activities are to be completed following MSHA regulations, Plant procedures, and Corporate Safety and Health policies.
Ensure compliance with quality procedures and standards.
Supervise all production process activities including mining, wet processing, drying, screening, and loading.
Manage scheduling of production for multiple shifts.
Details:
Night shift position
7pm – 7am, 12 hour shift
Rotating 2 – 2 – 3 schedule
The successful incumbent will have the following Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred; high school diploma or equivalent required.
2 – 5 years of supervisory experience.
Oral and written communication skills
Thorough understanding of processing plants and manufacturing operations.
Must be able to work weekends and all shifts
