POSITION OVERVIEW
The Marketing & Sales Specialist assists in the coordination and execution of the Bank’s marketing, communications, and public relations efforts.
Often coordinates promotions.
Also provides consistent and relevant sales training for all business development efforts.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Demonstrates a commitment to achieve goals as a bank, department and individual
Coordinate and collaborate monthly with deposit and loan team leaders to integrate messaging for digital and traditional channels, while executing in alignment with the Bank’s strategic goals
Develops and implements various concepts, materials, advertisements, programs, press releases and other special events to ensure market awareness of the products and services available to new and existing customers
Develop, implement and track marketing campaign results
Work with office staff to increase visibility in target markets for to enhance the Bank’s image and developing new business
Identify cross-marketing opportunities and work with team members across Bank departments to implement
Communicate with customers and employees keeping them updated on marketing promotions
Manage the Bank’s search engine optimization (SEO) strategy, making sure web content is found by consumers who are looking for financial services, information and solutions
Design and produce marketing items while maintaining and updating marketing library inventory
Responsible for managing Banzai Financial Literacy program including but not limited to maintaining contact with participants
Responsible for consistent, regular Sales Training with deposit and loan team members
Develop a sales training plan and work with department leaders to provide training to every new employee
Work with department leaders to ensure sales and marketing resources are available to achieve goals
Work with department leaders to host public sessions on financial topics
Work with department leaders to structure staff as advisors to our clients, not just transactional
Participate in at least 1 community or professional organization
Volunteer at least 4 times per year at community/organization events per year
Attend at least 4 networking events each year
Responsible for maintaining marketing budget control and return on marketing investment criteria
Hold all departments accountable for using the CRM tracking system management accurately and consistently
Responsible for communication to all offices regarding strategy/campaigns
Ability to develop and implement incentive program
Ability to mine bank data for opportunity
Ability to analyze date and identify trends
Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements:
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS
Education/Experience
Some college preferred
Digital marketing strategy experience preferred
Graphic design, Canva and Adobe experience preferred
Experience in consultative selling techniques with the demonstrated ability to listen well and understand individual circumstances to make customized recommendations based on each individual situation
Experience using a CRM preferred
Knowledge & Skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Knowledge of bank products and services
Ability to relate well to customers and coworkers in a positive atmosphere of mutual respect
Trustworthiness and the ability to act with integrity.
