Sales Manager
General Hotels Corporation is looking for a dynamic, high energy, enthusiastic and experienced sales professional to handle our corporate business travel, social and corporate group business for the Hampton Inn Yorkville.
The ideal candidate will be able to cultivate and develop relationships, prospect and manage new (and current) business, and positively impact hotel revenue.
Position Summary
Cultivate and develop relationships, prospect and manage new (and current) business to sell hotel room nights and meeting space.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and representatives of companies and local community groups.
Promote new business through pro-active sales efforts and tactics to include prospecting, outside calls, networking events and account penetration and maintenance.
Property site visits and client entertainment
Full account management with proposals, follow up and negotiate contracts.
All other assignments by management

Ability to multi-task and handle details
Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Windows, Amadeus, a plus and the ability to catch on quickly to software programs and technology.
Professional writing skills and knowledge of hotel contracts and corporate travel contracts
Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Education and Experience
At least 1 year hotel experience preferred
